When it comes to Las Vegas, people either love it or hate it. For some, it’s a city of adventure, entertainment – a gamblers’ paradise. For others, it’s a city of sin, vice, and aberration. Personally, for me, it’s a city worth checking out, especially because it’s so different. But Las Vegas is not a New York or San Francisco, cities which I adore and never tire of exploring. Nevertheless, Las Vegas deserves a visit and this quick picture tour of the Las Vegas Strip will give you a taste of it.
A quick picture tour of the Las Vegas Strip
The most interesting and prettiest of the Las Vegas hotels and casinos is the Venetian, I think. Having been to Venice several times, I must admit that it’s really well done. I would still recommend going to Venice to see the real thing but the Venetian definitely gives you a little taste of Venice. You can park here for free, regardless of whether you’re staying at the hotel or not.
Essentially across the street from the Venetian is the Treasure Island Resort and Casino.
Don’t miss the Bellagio Fountain show which is really pretty. It takes place every 30 minutes in the afternoon. Check their website for details.
Walk up to New York New York Hotel and Casino to see New York City’s famous buildings.
If you’ve never been to the City of Lights, head towards the Paris Hotel and Casino with its Eiffel Tower.
Tired of the Strip?
If you’re tired of the Strip, take a hike at the Valley of Fire, just an hour away of the city. You will certainly be amazed!
Want another idea? Visit the Grand Canyon National Park. The world’s most famous canyon is certainly on many people’s bucket list.
