Hi! Welcome to my blog! I’m Gosia – the traveler with a map. I love to travel domestically and internationally. My favorite thing to do when I travel in the USA is to take road trips. Typically, my husband and I take two road trips a year. I love national parks and whenever possible, I incorporate a visit to a national park into a domestic vacation. I also like camping. It makes the trip more affordable and it allows you to spend more time in nature. I have visited all 50 states and have been to the majority of national parks. There are national parks in the West that I have visited multiple times and I can’t get enough of them.
I also like to travel internationally. If I could, I would go on one long trip around the world. I love exploring new countries, learning about different cultures, and seeing what life looks like abroad. I have visited 5 continents, have been to 35 countries, and have gone back to some many times.
It appears that whenever I travel or plan a trip, a map is my constant companion. I find myself holding a map when I’m on the road, in a new city, or a national park. My maps are always falling apart and I either have two copies – one that can be discarded at the end of the trip because it’s torn and worn out, and the other that can be preserved for another trip or I buy a laminated copy, so that it can be more permanent.
I feel that over the last 25 years I have done a lot of traveling and have seen a ton of fascinating places. It is time to document the frequent trips and hopefully provide some resources and tips for those who want to travel affordably and comfortably but also budget appropriately so that they can take multiple trips a year.
The world is magnificent and I am passionate about seeing as much of it as I can.
